Our Partner, Anupam Shukla opines on the importance of impartial third-party fact checkers pursuant to the newly notified provisions of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules, 2023 which authorizes a “fact check unit of the central government” to identify and takedown fake or false or misleading information.
