Essel Group chairman Subhash Chandra and Zee Entertainment Enterprises MD and CEO Punit Goenka have filed appeals in the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) against SEBI’s June 12, 2023 directive which banned the duo from holding key positions in the company.
The highly anticipated merger between Zee-Sony is hence likely to face further delay due to SAT’s impending order.
