Allu Arjun faces backlash after a tragic stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad, which resulted in the death of a woman and left her son critically injured.

Legal provisions in India allow for the arrest and prosecution of individuals, including celebrities, when their actions or negligence result in public harm or fatalities, ensuring accountability.

Rushad Irani, in this Mint article, opines that while it may generally be unfair to hold celebrities directly responsible in such cases since arrangements are typically managed by their PR teams, producers, and theatre management cannot be entirely absolved. Celebrities must ensure adequate safety measures and precautions are implemented at such events.

  • In 1997, he joined Dua Associates as a Partner and set up its legal practice in Mumbai and Pune. In 2001, he co-founded DSK Legal, and built it into a 130-lawyer firm over 18 years. In April 2019, he along with 2 other partners founded Pioneer Legal
  • Satish has more than three decades of significant experience in advising on large M&A and PE transactions, and he also specializes in crafting strategies for complex disputes to minimize litigation risks.
